How To HDR with Photomatix Pro Part 2

5. Once you choose what images you are using to create your HDR image you just let the Photomatix software do its magic and create the HDR image.  It will come out looking something like this:

Depending on your overall goal some of you may like this look and stop here.  However most of you will probably want to process the image using tone mapping.  You can do all of these steps from within Photomatix Pro.  You just select the Tone Mapping option and you get a pop up box like this.

You will want to test different settings and preview them within the Photomatix software.  Keep tweeking until you get the desired result.  For this tutorial I tone mapped the image above to look like this:
