Today is Question Monday. I want to know Who is the most inspiring Photographer in your opinion? Photographers like everyone else go through ups and downs and I have found that one of the best ways to get excited again is to go through and look at the Photographers that inspired you in the past.
Please leave a comment and or a link to the person you think is the most inspiring photographer. Also tell me why this particular person inspires you the most. I am excited to read the results. Have a great week!

Ansel Adams-Great photographer and also a Conservationist. Beautiful shots of landscapes, people, and a “time” in American history.
The photographer who has inspired me the most in my life is Jock Sturges. Seeing his work in Frankfurt in the early 1990s inspired me to want to learn how to make portraits with that kind of depth and empathy.
Other major influences on my work are, in no particular order:
Sally Mann
Edward Weston
Jaques-Henri Lartigue
Cheryl Jacobs
Suzanne Revy
Steve McCurry is my main drive, in capturing eyes and portraiture. In general he is why I stayed in photography. The Afghan girl.. was his biggest prize of a shot for hime. I have always focused on eyes eyes eyes.
My Dad!!! Phil Goldman
Francesca Woodman
Woodman is amazing! Her story and images are so powerful and spooky.
How do you pick just one? All these:
Richard Avedon
Phil Borges
David DuChemin
Annie Leibowitz
Cartier-Bresson
Margaret Bourke-White
George Hurrell
Stieglitz

Hi Darlene, You are awesome. Picking just one is too hard
I have been inspired by so many photographers over the years. Just wanted to see what most people would have to say.
I am a huge fan of David Duchemin because he does so much sharing of info. Ian Shive is another. There are so many great photographers. I wish I knew of more women photographers leading the pack in ways like Duchemin and Shive though – where are they? And, why not me?
Hi Carlin,
I think David is amazing. I have been really getting into his books over at Craft and VIsion lately. Have you read any of those?
